1. Scope
This policy explains browser technologies used by ripplerayshop.com. It supplements the Privacy Policy. The details reflect the audited site configuration and can change when features or providers are added. Some technologies are created only after you use a particular feature.
2. What cookies do
A cookie is a small browser record associated with a website. It can maintain a session or remember information between page requests. Cookies can be set by the site you visit or another service, and their purpose and lifespan depend on the feature using them.
3. Other browser storage
Local or session storage can retain application state without using the cookie mechanism. The current cart pages use keys including storeApiNonce, storeApiCartData and WOOCOMMERCE_CHECKOUT_IS_CUSTOMER_DATA_DIRTY. Clearing site data can reset a cart or invalidate a session.
4. Account and sign-in functions
When you use available sign-in functions, WordPress can use authentication and test cookies to recognize the session and determine whether cookies work. Such cookies are feature-dependent; they were not observed as logged-in cookies in the anonymous audit.
5. Cart and checkout functions
WooCommerce can use woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart and wp_woocommerce_session_* when cart functions are used. They support cart changes and the matching of a browser session to stored cart data. Their presence does not mean payment processing is available.
6. Source-attribution cookies
The audit observed sbjs_migrations, sbjs_current_add, sbjs_first_add, sbjs_current, sbjs_first, sbjs_udata and sbjs_session. They support WooCommerce’s source-attribution feature, which associates visits with information such as the referring source, entry page and session activity.
7. Source-attribution purpose
Source information helps explain how a visit or order reached the store. It is a measurement function and should not be confused with the cookie needed simply to remain signed in. Do not interpret every first-party cookie as strictly necessary for purchasing.
8. Performance measurement
The website loads a Cloudflare Insights script from static.cloudflareinsights.com for performance measurement. A service can receive technical requests without setting a third-party cookie. The absence of an advertising cookie therefore does not mean that no technical data is transmitted.
9. Reviews and remembered details
The product review form offers a checkbox to remember submitted reviewer details. If selected, WordPress can store those details in comment-related cookies to simplify a later submission. You can leave the checkbox unselected and clear existing records in your browser.
10. Session and persistent lifetimes
In the audited visit, most observed sbjs_* cookies were session cookies and sbjs_session had approximately a 30-minute remaining lifetime. Other functional cookies can persist longer; WooCommerce documents a typical two-day cart-session cookie. Browser session restoration and site settings can affect practical persistence.
11. Browser controls
Your browser can show stored cookies and site data, remove them or block future storage. Settings may apply per device and per browser. Blocking or deleting a record can affect sign-in, cart continuity, saved preferences or attribution; it does not automatically erase information already held on a server.
12. Consent tools and opt-out signals
The website does not currently provide an on-site cookie preference center. Use your browser settings to control or remove site cookies and storage. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are distinct browser signals; this policy does not promise a preference-setting function that is not available on the site. Contact [email protected] to exercise applicable privacy rights or ask about a browser signal. Clearing cookies does not delete information already held in server records.
13. Third-party pages and service changes
Following a link to another website places you under that site’s own browser-storage practices. A future payment, advertising or analytics integration may add technologies. Any required disclosure, consent or opt-out implementation must be assessed before such a feature is introduced.
14. Questions and updates
For questions about a cookie name, browser storage or related information, email [email protected] or call 970-640-4689. Include the page and browser involved but do not send cookie values, session tokens or passwords. Read the Privacy Policy for personal-information requests.
